Soothing Ginger and Turmeric Tea for Late-Night Munchies on the Alkaline Diet

Recipe: Soothing Turmeric Ginger Tea

Ingredients & Directions: 

  • 1T Ginger Root
  • 1T Turmeric Root
  • 1/3 t Fresh Black Pepper
  • 1/8 t Dried Stevia Leaf
  • Splash of Water to blend
  • 1L Boiling Water

In a small blender, blend a splash of water, turmeric, ginger, black pepper, and dried stevia (or finely chop the turmeric and ginger). In a sauce pot, simmer the tea blend in 1L water for 10 minutes. For optional creaminess, add coconut milk before serving.

The benefits of this tea are endless, it is antifungal, supports healthy liver and gallbladder function, soothing for digestion, mentally soothing, and very comforting.
