What is the Alkaline Diet?
Choosing foods according to the principles of the Alkaline Diet helps you easily assist your body to stay within it’s optimal pH balance. Staying in balance is necessary because the human body has a specific pH value for it’s different parts and functions; the value that the alkaline diet gives most focus to is the pH value of human blood. Your body works diligently to maintain the pH value of blood within the narrow range of 7.35-7.45 and this is why it’s important to fuel your cells with the exact nutrition that is needed. We all feel better when in balance! The alkaline diet outlines the types of foods that will help your body naturally stay in balance to avoid that sluggish brain fog feeling when eating processed junk foods. Following the Curing Vision Alkaline Diet Food Chart takes the guesswork out of food choice for you, making meal time very simple. I have been able to improve my own quality of health eating this way by reversing symptoms associated with four autoimmune disease diagnosis which is my motivation for sharing with you what has worked so well for me.
How to Use a Centrifugal or Masticating Juicer
If you use a centrifugal juicer, similar to the Breville Juicer or the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juicer (the one that I use), this extracts the juice by cutting the produce and spinning out the juice into your collection cup. When using this type of juicer, begin by juicing the ginger, turmeric, and lemon first. Then add the remaining ingredients to wash the smaller through the juicer.
If you use a masticating juicer, this extracts juice similar to how you would eat it if you were chewing the fruit or vegetables yourself. The juicing auger effectively bites and chews the food, by pressing the juice out into a collection cup. I use the Omega J8006 Juicer and it is wonderful for juicing delicate greens. To make this recipe with a masticating juicer you will need the prep-cut the produce so that everything passes through the feeding chute. Begin by juicing first the ginger and turmeric, next the lemon, then rotate between the zucchini, carrot, and pineapple. The carrot helps to push the two softer ingredients through the juicer.
Health Benefits of Eating Vegetables
Notice the scar on the zucchini? I intentionally choose vegetables with scars like this based upon a simple observation and hunch from reading about the benefits of resveratrol. Research is suggesting that resveratrol may be neuroprotective and could help with treatment or prevention of neurogenerative diseases. Certain plants produce resveratrol in response to an injury, though zucchini hasn’t specifically been in this study, I safely bet that most vegetables and fruits are going to do a similar thing.
We eat vegetables and fruits to transfer their stored vitamins, minerals, enzymes, antioxidants and numerous more benefits into our bodies. If a fruit is cut, then forms a scar to repair that cut, it had to develop cells that repair and restore. I simply hope to transfer those special cells into my own health, and it certainly doesn’t hurt anything to try.
How Fresh Vegetable Juice Supports Digestion
The ingredients turmeric root, ginger root, and pineapple contain beneficial enzymes to support your digestive system. If you experience frequent bloating after meals, over time this juice combined with a plant-based diet may help with calming the after meal tummy trouble.
